We love nettles and have them in our garden for us to use fresh.
When we need more, we collect young nettle tops locally, early in the spring, just taking the top six or so leaves and drying them so that we can use them throughout the year.
The oatmeal is produced at Y Felin (Welsh for ‘The Mill’), at St Dogmaels, one of the last working water mills in Wales.
Nettle (Urtica dioica) is a fantastic herb with many uses – including food, clothing and skincare products. They are so under-used by us. This fantastic wild herb contains so much goodness that it has many uses including food, clothing and skincare products.
Nettles are said to encourage hair growth and can be added to hair wraps.
It is used in bath soaks, body wraps, facials, soaps and salves.
